This is Red's premium capsule, tuned to deliver a larger than life sound with extension in the lower and upper frequencies.
Modern tone with sharply-etched presence. With a brighter response and more proximity effect than the Red R7 capsule, and less high or low end extension compared to the Red R0 capsule, this capsule is logically the first choice for vocals. The R6 has the highest sensitivity of Red's R line of capsules, and delivers significantly hotter output than most condenser microphones.
Recommended for:
Lead vocals, background vocals, voice overs, percussion, piano, vibraphone, Jazz guitar, foley and sound effect recording and extremely quiet sources.
